Cannabinoids are a type of fatty compounds found in the human body, various plants, and hemp. They are the most abundant chemical compound in the cannabis plant. With more than 80+ identified cannabinoids, these play an important part in the balance and health of the
human body and are supplemented by using CBD oil.
CBD oil is derived from hemp plants that have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) and low levels of THC. Our CBD oils always have less than 0.3% THC. CBD content of CBD oil can vary tremendously across different vendors due to the varying quality of hemp that’s used, as well as varying preparation and extraction techniques. Ours produces some of the market’s finest quality CBD oil, extracted from healthy, CBD-rich hemp plants grown right here in the USA.
CBD is a naturally occurring component of the hemp plant. It is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid that offers a range of whole-body uses. CBD is just one of dozens of phytocannabinoids and other phytochemicals found in hemp.
No. All our hemp extract products are made from industrial hemp with THC levels below 0.3%. There is no intoxicating effect from taking our products.
Our CBD products are available in a wide variety of forms. We offer CBD oils which are consumed by placing droplets below the tongue, and we also offer CBD capsules, CBD gummies, CBD vapes, CBD beverage enhancers, and more. Please have a look through our blog and various product pages to determine which product may be most suitable for you and your needs.
Take our CBD as needed. Some people take it only once a day, while others take it three times a day.
Our CBD products contain non-detectable levels of THC as tested by a 3rd party ISO-accredited laboratory. Due to variation in the sensitivity of drug tests which may misclassify other cannabinoids as THC, do not take this product if you are subject to drug testing.
With the enactment of the 2018 Farm Bill in December of 2018, hemp and its derivatives, including hemp-derived CBD, were removed from the federal list of controlled substances, and in late 2019, the United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA) established a Domestic Hemp Production Program for the cultivation of hemp in the U.S. While hemp is now legal in all 50 states, consumer products are under governance of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the agency is currently undertaking efforts to establish a federal framework to allow for the inclusion of CBD in foods and dietary supplements on a national level. Until this time, the use of CBD in such products is subject to each state’s laws and regulations, with some states expressly prohibiting the sale of CBD. For this reason, Califia Gold can sell products only to residents in those states that allow the sale of CBD. The state rules are constantly evolving, and there is an expectation that the FDA soon will create a pathway for sale of CBD in foods and dietary supplements, so please check back here for updates or contact us for information on the status of CBD in your state.
Storage and shelf life
For the best shelf life, please keep your CBd oil in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight. Doing so will help to preserve the hemp extract for as long as possible. If stored properly, CBD oil can have a shelf life of a year or even longer.
